Pinterest, in all its wisdom, recently released its predictions for the colors we’ll see everywhere this year. The 2026 Pinterest Palette is a curated lineup informed by billions of searches and saves from the platform’s 600 million users. These are the shades gaining traction across Pinterest, so get ready to spot them in outfits, home décor and, most importantly, manicures.

Plum Noir

This one is for dark, moody manicures. Dark plum and deep burgundy nail searches are both up more than 220 percent. Admittedly, the shade is somewhat of a staple since Essie’s Wicked ($10) and OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark ($12) are certifiable classics. According to Pinterest, the shade we’ll see this year is a perfect balance of deep purple, burnt burgundy and a swirl of velvet brown.

Jade

Last year, dill pickle green had its moment. In 2026, the mood shifts to something more subdued. Earthy, serene shades of jade are popping up everywhere—from interiors to elegant manicures—with jade marble nails, in particular, seeing a 450 percent spike in interest.

Persimmon

When fruity nails were trending last year, persimmon somehow got overlooked. Now, this orange-red shade is poised for its moment. It’s bright, playful and just different enough—a fresh remix on classic red nails. We’re hoping Essie’s Clambake makes a return this summer to help bring the trend to life.
