We sought\u00a0NYC-based stylist\u00a0<\/span>Jasmine Anna Galazka<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0<\/span>Warren Tricomi<\/a>\u00a0Salon to find out\u00a0<\/span>how to get professional-quality results at home.<\/span>

Condition Training<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Galazka says a great blowout starts with a great wash. “My favorite products are the Kerastase Chronologiste Bain Shampoo<\/a> ($42)<\/em> and Mask<\/a> ($149)<\/em>. You’ll get super hydration and moisture replenishment,” she says. <\/p>\t\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\t

Use Protection<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Drying your hair straight out of the shower can damage your locks. Instead, towel-dry and apply a heat-protectant product to prevent breakage and overexposure. Then, add a volumizer, Galazka suggests. This helps add fullness without leaving your hair feeling too sticky or firm.<\/p>\t\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\t

The Great Divide<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Separate your hair into six sections. Galazka recommends making a plus sign on top of your head and dividing the hair into four sections. Then, divide the hair at the nape of the neck into two additional sections.<\/p>\t\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\t

Brush Hour<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Using a medium-size round brush (Galazka is a fan of the Y.S. Park medium 60G1<\/a>, $132)<\/em>, start at the nape and work your way up toward the crown. “The key is to make sure each section is completely dry before starting a new one,” she says. After each section, wrap the piece around two fingers and secure it into a pin curl with a duckbill clip. Next, move to the side sections, beginning at the bottom and working your way up to the crown again.<\/p>\t\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\t

Spray and Go<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Once the full head is completed, Galazka says to spray with a firm, long-lasting hairspray like Keratase Laque Dentelle<\/a> ($37)<\/em> to set everything in place. If you want more curl, leave the clips in longer. For a sleeker hairdo, remove them right away. Release the clips and run through the curls with a comb or your fingers. You can touch-up any pieces around your face or bangs for extra smoothness. The finishing touch: Spray with long-lasting hairspray to keep your blowout on point all day long.<\/p>\t\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\t
